G20-Ignite at IIT Gandhinagar

With an aim to kindle curiosity and excitement toward the diverse dimensions of science and technology in the next generation of engineers, scientists & researchers, IIT Gandhinagar (IITGN) had recently organized ‘G20-Ignite’, a uniquely designed Science & Technology Fair.

G20-Ignite is a Science and Technology Fair that aims to support and encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and curiosity among school students from the disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. Grade X & XII Students of Green Valley visited the educational fair and had a glimpse into IITGN’s dynamic research and educational ecosystem. Gujarat Ecology Commision and World Around You recently held a workshop on Prakruti ki Pathshala at the Green Valley School. The session focusing on Environment was designed not to flood data/information but inculcate a sense of belonging, ability to contribute and celebrate smallest of achievements.

Visit to Defence Expo held at Mahatma Mandir

The Ministry of Defence organized the 12th edition of the Defence Expo in Gandhinagar, India at Mahatma Mandir. The event showcased Land, Naval and Homeland Security systems and aimed to invoke nationalistic pride in the citizens of India. The theme for this edition was ‘Path to Pride,’ encouraging citizens to participate in nation-building through establishing a capable indigenous Defence industry.

The students of GSFC were thrilled to attend DefExpo 2022 in Gandhinagar. With over 430 products on display, they had the opportunity to witness a wide range of strategic and tactical weapon systems, defence equipment and modern technologies.

 

Kargil Vijay Diwas with Wing Commander of the Indian Airforce

Kargil Vijay Diwas is all about the valour and the country first above all. The spirit of the Indian Armed forces inspires each and every citizen of India. Students of Green Valley School paid a tribute along with a special guest of the Indian Airforce, Wing Commander T Ramesh Kumar.

Teachers and students participated to pay their heartfelt homage to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives and won the war at Kargil. It was done with the view to salute the real heroes of the nation and inspire the students for a patriotic cause.

To make the students aware of the contributions of armed forces in national security and nation building, Wg Cdr T Ramesh Kumar showed a presentation and explained Operation Vijay and Operation Safed Sagar in detail. He discussed the sacrifices our men and women from armed forces make to guard the country when stationed at extreme conditions. He also discussed about the glorius IAF’s MiG-21s and other tech used at the time.

Kargil Vijay Diwas is indeed a day of pride for the Nation. It is the day to remember the martyrs, rejoice their sacrifices and strengthen the resolve of the armed forces to the cause of the nation.

The students of Green Valley School were recently treated to a captivating theatre in Ahmedabad, a performance by Indie Productions, held at Prayogshala Creative Space.
